Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Cayden's Easter Party at School

Friday was the last day of school before Spring Break and Cayden's class had an Easter party in the afternoon. I made Easter Basket cupcakes (funfetti again) with green frosting, green colored coconut, jelly beans, marshmallow rabbits and sour punch straws for handles, to take up there for his class and then I helped by being the Easter Bunny and hiding all the eggs outside in the playground that the teachers had put together. The kids had a good time finding eggs and they enjoyed all the treats. The cupcakes were a big hit to look at but I saw that most kids either ate only the jelly beans and then threw the rest away or else they threw the whole thing away with out eating it at all. I think that the coconut put the off. I though about using green sprinkles for grass but the coconut look so much more authentic. Oh well they were cute to look at.

2 Happy Thoughts:

Those are such cute cupcakes. Whoever heard of not liking coconut. What is wrong with those kids. Coconut is like eating candy for me.

Suzanna

You are so crafty... what a cute cupcake idea.
