Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

The Wedding Part 4

Ashley's reception was held at the Old Logandale School.  It was lovely!  It was not that hot surprisingly enough and there was alot of shade.  There was a buffet type dinner of hamburger sliders, french fries and sweet potato fries, a yummy spinach salad and macaroni and cheese plus a dessert table with mini pies, cupcakes, and ice cream sandwiches, and even a candy table where you could eat to your hearts content.  After the line there was dancing for a while and then bride and groom ran through a gauntlet of sparklers to an old car that had been restored then they drove off.  Cayden danced his bootie off and especially had fun dancing with all the pretty girls and Ashley's cousin Bailey.  Don danced with Taylor during the daddy/daughter dance, Caleb ate his weight in hamburgers and cupcakes and Cody drank his weight in Diet Coke.  Don and I also took care of DJ's nephew Carter so his parents could be in the reception line.  It was a precursor to our lives in the near future because Carter is a darling 1 year old baby boy who loved to hang on Don and whenever anyone would try and take him or get him to come to someone else he would hug Don's neck and turn away from whoever was trying to take him.  Connor was a little worked up over the event so he decided to stay home for most of it.  He did come and help Grandpa move some of the gifts and get some dinner but he spent the evening with Grandma Penny and Granddaddy Larry.  We were so tired from all the partying that we did not make it to church.  I really had good intentions and even got in the shower to get ready but by the time I got my hair dry all bets were off.  My feet were super swollen and I was hardly able to walk anyway.
