Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Kyle Brandt is 2 Years Old

Today is Kyle's birthday!  Oh where has two years gone?  We had his party on Sunday night because dad had to go out of town on Monday. It was a Toy Story themed party with a banner and balloons and everything. This boy loves loves loves Toy Story.  We had a dinner for him of his favorite-minestrone soup. Not sure if everyone else liked it but Kyle does and it was his day.  Plus it is a throw everything in the crockpot kind of dinner so that makes it even better.  Grandma Penny and Grandaddy Larry came down to celebrate with us. Grandma Dottie and Grandpa Don,and  Aunt Dena and Uncle Chris came over too and then all of Kyle's brothers of course. After dinner we let Kyle blow out his candle as we sang to him, then we had cake and ice cream.  He covered his eyes while we sang and was acting kind of shy/upset about it.  Since I'm the one that got gutted like a fish to get him here, I decided that I wanted a bundt cake from our favorite bundt cake store in Vegas.  I bought some Toy Story toy figures from the Disney Store and just put them on top of the cake!    After cake we let him open his presents.  He got lots of stuff.  Dad thought it was a mini Christmas!

He got a little boys size basketball hoop from Grandma and Grandpa.
His sandbox.

His bi-see-cle.

Dad wrote Happy Bday in the sand.  Don and Connor put together all his big presents Sunday afternoon while we were napping.
He also got some clothes, some fun car magnets, a talking farm puzzle, a step stool to stand on when he's washing his hands, a flashlight, and a castle.  Thank you for all your wonderful gifts for him!

The previousn Sunday we had a family dinner over at Aunt Dena's for Kyle and Taylor.  Uncle Chris made yummy pork tacos and Grandpa made a Skor cake.

Happy Birthday Kyle Brandt! We love you so so so so so much!
