Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Picnic at the Park and the Splash Pad

We had so much fun in Provo with our cousins and luckily the weather is bearable and there are so many things to do!  On Thursday, July 16 we took the kids to Pioneer Park in Provo for a picnic and to play at the splash pad.  There were some huge trees and lots of shade where we had our picnic and we stayed away from the splash pad area specifically so the kids would eat first.  I made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the kids and Suzanna ran to Kneaders for me and her.  Yeah, that's how we roll.  After they ate-well after we tried to get them to eat we packed up the food and put it back in the car and then moved over to the splash pad area.  The kids ran and played for over an hour there and I took Kyle and Ella to the play area for about 20 minutes as well.  Cayden was the best Madi-sitter ever.  He didn't play in the water but he wanted to hold Madi and play with her for as long as she would let him.  About 2;30 we decided that we had had enough fun and it was starting to just get too hot even in the shade so we headed back to grandma's house.

About an hour after we got there Kyle decided that he was hungry even though we had tried to get them all to eat before they played in the water.  I gave him the bag of sandwiches that I had to go retrieve from the car and he proceeded to eat all of the rest of them leaving the crusts in a pile.
