Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Black Friday

Our Black Friday was not a very busy day because I would rather push bamboo skewers up under my fingernails than deal with my fellow men fighting over a toaster at 3am.  I did stay up until midnight trying to get a few things online but with no luck.  It seems the last few years it has gotten harder and harder to get the good deals online at midnight that we could a few years ago.  We slept in and lounged around until the midafternoon when we did venture out to get Don a few pair of garments since he left his at home.  I think we went to Target  or somewhere else and we did run to the mall to see Calley at her new job and grab a snack at Chic-Fil-A.  Don kept Kyle for us and Cameron stayed with his dad so the girls and the bigger kids could go out.  We had plans to go to Pizza Factory and to Riverwoods to see their Christmas lights but the boys kept fighting and I was just not going to do it.  We actually got down to Pizza Factory but turned around in the parking lot and went back to Chris'.  Don went and got us Pizza Hut and then after everyone got back Cody, Calley, Caleb and Cayden went to Winco for a candy spree and then we watched Christmas Vacation.
