Cayden got to go on a field trip today to the Old Mormon Fort in Las Vegas. I have been a bad mother in that I have not been able to go with him on a field trip this year because Don has been out of town working and so there is no one to watch Kyle. I am certainly not going to drag that baby to Vegas any more than I have to and to go on a field trip would be misery for everyone. Cayden is becoming more and more independent that last little while. He knows what to do in the mornings and doesn't want me to tell him what to do. The problem is that he doesn't really understand the concept of time and how quickly it flies in the morning when you are trying to get ready for school. The morning is not time for a leisurely breakfast! He always has to make his bed before he goes to school too-not that I am telling him to do it but he really wants to. He wants me to leave Kyle with him when I go to the store or something like that. Even though he is getting more independent and mature I still don't want to go that far. I hardly dare leaving the baby with my 14 year old-mostly because of my own personal issues.
Cayden left me this note and his candy bar that he got from school on March 14.
Cayden and Kyle were chilling outside in the new chairs.
Cayden and his friend Dallin. They go to early morning tutoring every Monday and Wednesday. This is at their tutor's house and she has a bubble machine where she lets the bubbles blow out the window.
This kid is seriously funny. We were talking the other morning waiting for his ride to pick him up and he was telling me about the time that he was coming into my room in the night and he was holding his toots in so that he wouldn't scare me. Haha!
Then another day he asked me why we didn't have the cleaning ladies come any more. I told him it was just too much money. He said "oh, I was afraid that I drove them away." I said "why would you drive them away?" and he told me he thought it was because he wouldn't let them touch his Legos on his dresser.
