So this is my new idea. Each Monday-if I can remember I want to post a memory that I have of holidays or events or something like that. You can copy me if you want! :) My friend Serena wanted us to start this sort of thing like last year but write out our memory and then print it out and put it in a binder so it would be a journal. She would give us monthly prompts and so now I guess I will finally do it now that she has moved far far away. This will be different from Flashback Friday because there will not be any pictures because that is just way too time consuming for a Monday.
Halloween Memory
A memory that I have of Halloween is when I was about 11 I think. We still lived in Lindon and my parents allowed me and a group of girls to go trick or treating all by ourselves. We were out a long time and we walked around our block and then up the road to the yellow church and back along the canyon road where Mark Nixon lived. Then back down the north road that took you to the church basically making a square. I think I was with Wendy, Raylene, Hollie and Lori. I was dressed up as a punk. I had big huge earrings-it was the 80's go figure!-and as many necklaces that I could find. I also had a pair of pink sunglasses on a pink lace around my neck that we had gotten when we were in Tijuana during the summer. Somewhere along our route I lost those glasses and I was so bummed! I remember that it was cold-like usual in Utah on Halloween. I also remember that there was at least one group of rotten boys that ran around trying to steal candy. I think that someone in our group got their pillowcase ripped out of their hands and stolen. Maybe I am confusing that with something else although I do remember that my brother Chris did get his candy stolen on Mawmaw's street one year when he was little. I told Don about that and he said it was a good thing that he was not there because he probably would not have come home until he had hunted down those dirty rotten jerks and beat them to death with the bucket full of candy. I have a few other memories of Halloween that include parties at friend's houses. One was a Kathryn Grigg's house where we watched Watcher in the Woods-this is consequently why I hunted high and low and even drove to St. George to get that movie from Hollywood Video for Cody and his party Saturday night. Remind me not to have a houseful of kids and let them watch a scary movie. The screaming started before we even hit play. Another party I went to one Halloween was at Allison Green's where Danny Redd drank a raw egg out of a glass and puked!
Don wanted me to put this in the other blog from Saturday but I forgot so here it is.
My memory from this Halloween is that Cayden practically electrocuted me with Halloween lights. I had asked Cody to get out the Halloween lights to make sure that they worked so that we could take them for our trunk. Well there was a set that was broken that had broken bulbs with the wires sticking out that he left on the floor. Just as I was picking that bunch up Cayden plugged them in. My wedding ring must have touched the exposed part of the light and I let out a blood curdling scream as the current pulsed through my hand. Don came running, Cody even got off the phone and came running and Cayden's lip started to quiver while I shook my hand to get the circulation to start again. I do not think that I want to expereience a Ben Franklin ever
again nor will I commit some heinous crime that necessitates the use of the electric chair to be the cause of my demise.
My next thought is Thankful Thursday throughout the month of November-or maybe all the time just because we should be grateful. Now you can think about your Thankful Thursday Thought too and post it. Ya know that there could be a whole week of different things if I wanted to get really crazy-Memory Monday, Tag Tuesday, can't think of anything for Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, Flashback Friday hmmm what for Saturday?

3 Happy Thoughts:
Just because I'm naturally prone to being negative, how about Sucky Saturday where we get to complain about something?! Just kidding... I just couldn't think of anything else that started with an "S" that would have worked! Glad you didn't kick the bucket via electrocution this weekend.
Memory Monday is an awesome idea. What about "Wish Wednesday" You have to post something that you wish for? Kind of like wishing on a falling star. Sounds lame huh? It is 4 in the morning!!! LOL :)
What a fabulous post!!!! I love your idea for the memory stuff. Now, if only I can remember to do it. I can just see little Cayden's lip begin to quiver. He's such a sweet boy. Glad you're not seriously injured. love you all and can't wait to see you in three weeks.
