Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Summer Fun

We have to try and find things to keep Kyle entertained during the heat of the summer or else he would watch TV all day long.
Washing lot of dishes and himself.

Going to story time at the library.

Playing with shaving cream in the tub.

Mario and The Hulk

We had lots of fun getting slurpees from 7-11 especially with our new mustache straws.

High Adventure Bike Ride or The Adventures of Bolty McSpeedpedal

The day before the bike ride staying at Grandma Penny's house.
The leaders working on bikes in the garage.

Dinner outside on the porch. We cooked a big dinner for them of pork tacos, rice, beans, and salsa.

Getting ready to head out.

The group at the church parking lot getting ready to ride off.

I love this picture!  Brother Whipple, Caleb, and Brother Anderson getting Caleb up the hill.
The first day they made it to the Manti temple. It was rainy and cold.
Lunch in Richfield Day 3.
Crashed out at the Mortensen's house in Santa Clara the night before the big finish.
Day 5. The End at Moapa church.

Summer in Utah. Part 1

We went to Provo on Wednesday June 11 for 10 days. The main goal was to get up there to get Caleb ready for his big bike ride that started on Tuesday June 16.
We helped Mawmaw put in her new dryer.

We liked to swing on Mawmaw's back porch swing.

Caleb got this special Winn Parish police department cap from mawmaw. It belonged to Pawpaw.

We made edible play doh with peanut butter, honey and powdered sugar.

We played with cuzzies.

We went geocaching and letter boxing.

We walked around the temple grounds looking for a letterbox but didn't find one.

We played at the park.

We went to tbe Scera Shell with Calley, Cody, Suzanna and Abby and froze our booties off.

We saw Cinderella.

Cayden still wanted Dippin Dots.

We celebrated Fathers's Day and he saved us from a speedy little chipmunk that got in Grandma's house.

We imitated Hulk Hogan.

Caleb made a Skor cake for dessert on Father's Day.

We played in the rain.
We fed and housed 8 priests and 5 leaders when they stayed the night at Grandma Penny's house the night before they left on then big bike ride.

We saw Caleb off on his ride.

We played with real play doh.

We went to story time at the Pleasant Grove library with cuzzies and made a wind sock craft.

We played at Aunt Suzanna's house on her swings.

And jumped on her trampoline.

We visited Cody at work.

We went to Peppermint Place and saw them making candy.

We got frozen yogurt.

I went to the temple with my sweet friend Steph.
And we went to the woodcraft store to get some crafts to make. I tripped on the stair going into the store and fell down good on my knee and twisted my ankle. That was a bit painful for a few days. Don went to Houston on Tuesday morning when the boys left on their bike ride. Larry took him to the airport that day and I went to get him late Thursday night after he had the travel day from hell trying to get back to Salt Lake. He didn't get in until 11:30pm. I drank a lot of Dr. Pepper that afternoon because I had been up since 6am. We drove home Friday afternoon to get ready for Caleb coming in from the bike ride.
