Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Good Morning to You

Caleb had his guitar out on his bed one morning this week and Don attempted to wake Cayden by up playing the guitar and singing to him.  Don does not know how to play the guitar.  Cayden got up rather quickly.

Caydenisms

Not sure where this came from but here ya go
"Little Miss Muffet sat on her butt
Eating her cookie pie."

Talking to the baby after he asked if the baby had ears and I told him yes and that the baby could hear us talking.
"Hi baby. I love you!  I will hold you and hug you and give you your bottle.  Daddy can do the poo poo-pee pee part."

Caydenisms

Cayden says the funniest things and I have to write them down or else I will forget them.
Today in the car he said 2 funny things one right after another.

Cayden:  Mom, I'm not going to college.

Mom:  Ok Cayden.  What are you going to do then?

Cayden:  Can I just get a job here in Logandale?

Mom:  Yes you can but if you don't go to college you can only get a job at McDonald's or the gas sstation.

Cayden:  I can get a job at the school.

Mom:  Well you  have to go to college to be a teacher.

Cayden:  Nuh -uh.  I can do it.  I have been practicing upstairs.  I just ask the kids what is 10 +10 and ask them what the little "a" says.  Then we can go outside for recess and if they are good we can just watch a movie.
Mom:  Oh well that's a good plan but you still have to go to college to be a teacher.

Cayden:  I will just practice upstairs.

#2

Cayden:  mom, I don't want to run in PE tomorrow so you can just write a note that says Cayden can't run in PE because his 2 legs hurt.
Mom:  Well I don't think we will do that.
Cayden: Well you could wrap my leg and then you could write a note that said Cayden can't run because his leg is broken.
Mom:  Well that would not be the truth would it?
Cayden:  No but I don't want to run in PE so maybe we can get a cast for my leg.

Don't Forget

Cayden said at Connor's birthday when Connor was opening his gifts, one of which was in a small gift bag, and the others no bigger than a dictionary.
"Please be big screen TV.  Please be a big screen TV."

Remind Me To Remember

---September 20, 2010
Don said to the kids "I have to go to Kansas City this week."
Cayden said " Will you bring me an autograph?"
Don said "From who?"
Cayden said "From Dorothy and the Wizard."
Don said "I'll check on that for you."

Sometime in October after Cayden came home from school.  He sits on the couch and says
"Dad, can we go for a drive?"
Don said "Where do you want to go for a drive to?"
Cayden said "To Vegas"
Don said "Why?"
Cayden said "So I can nap."

Cayden informed me after church a few weeks ago that there would not be a primary program this year.  I asked him why and he said just because.  I told him that I knew that there would be a program.  He asked me how I knew and I told him that there is always a primary program.  He again said how do you know.  I told him that Sister Keller (she is the Primary President) was my friend and that I knew there was a primary program.  He said "well I will just sit with my family or lead the music."  Nice try buddy.

Connor had to give a talk in Sacrament meeting on September 27.  He asked his dad how many people would be at church.  Don told him about 200.  Connor said "That's no big deal.  Now if it were a thousand....."
