Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Wednesday June 6 was the last day of school for the kids. Cody had final exams all week long but got out early every day. Wednesday he was home by 10:00. His last day of seminary was Friday the 30 so he actually got an extra hour of sleep the last week of school. Connor, Caleb and Cayden got out early on Wednesday. Cayden got an award at his assembly for Academic Achievement because he has made so much progress this year. Connor graduated from 5th grade and got a certificate and a pencil from the 5th grade teachers and the principle. They also had a slideshow of baby pics and current pics of all the 5th graders. Connor got the award for "Class Clown" for his class and Caleb got the award for "Best Speller" in his class. He even made it to the school Spelling Bee a few weeks ago. After school was over Grandma and Grandpa invited everyone over for a Last Day of School celebration. Grandpa made his yummy Chicken Spaghetti and garlic bread and then the kids played outside for a few minutes before we went home for a lovely end of school map. June has been unseasonably cool and it has been great! Cool meaning we have been in the low 90's and have not hit the big 100 yet this month so far. It's coming though I'm sure!
