Don went deep sea fishing in Alaska July 19-22. He flew from Denver where he was working to Seattle to Ketchican to Sitka where he met up with some guys from work and some customers. They fished for 10 hours a day and caught about 1600lbs of fish. They processed it and packaged it and sent each guy home with about 100lbs of salmon, rockfish, halibut and cod. It's a good thing we didn't buy a beef like we were going to because our freezers are full! I am not a big fan of fish but Don made halibut on Sunday July 29 and it was actually ok. We have had salmon before and I told him that I would like to try a teriyaki salmon of some sort. I remember that my dad liked halibut and he used to cook it once in a while. Don has been distributing some of the fish to friends and neighbors because there is just so much of it. The boys really like it though so we should be getting plenty of our Omega 3 fatty acids around here!
