Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Bikes

Cayden finally learned to ride his bike!  He just decided that he was going to do it and started riding it with the training wheels.  After about 3 weeks of that he was getting faster and much more stable so we asked him if he wanted the training wheels off.  He said yes and so with one push from his dad he was off and he hasn't looked back!  That same night we finally got around to fixing the little bike that Aunt Suzanna gave us for Kyle.  I couldn't find the right size of wheel or pedal at multiple stores so we asked around the neighborhood if any body had one that they didn't want anymore.  We got one from our neighbors the Andersons and we used it's parts to get the other one running for Kyle.  He was so excited-even if it was dark by the time it was done.
Caleb has decided that he wants to go on a 400 mile bike trip that the priests are going on in June.  We borrowed a bike from a family around the block for him to ride and the realized that he needed a better bike if he was going to be training and riding that far.  The older bike kept giving him trouble and he had to have Brother Whipple fix the tires on it multiple times.  Brother Whipple is trying to make sure that there are good bikes for the boys in our ward to use so that they can have a good experience.  We decided that Caleb having a good experience was worth the price of a newer nicer but more expensive  bike.  He has been riding very consistently even to and from theater class a few times a week. This trip in June will be a very big deal and be a lot of work and we want him to have a good experience.
