Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Birthday Boy

Sunday February 6 was Cayden's birthday but we started celebrating on Friday.  I took cupcakes in to his classroom at school and then we picked him up after school to go to Cheesecake Factory for dinner.  He ate a bowl of croutons, a lot of bread and butter, pasta and Oreo cheesecake.  We went to Target so that he could spend his money from Grandma Penny.  He bought a Mickey Mouse movie and a small Lego set.

A bowl of croutons.

He loves balloons!

He blew out all the candles-again 1+8=9.

Saturday we did not do much to celebrate other than buy him balloons and pick up his cake.  Sunday morning we had pancakes and bacon for breakfast and then he wanted to open his presents.  He got a Zhuzhu pet, Just Dance for the Wii, 2 pooh bear books, and that thing that mounts to the bathroom wall and squirts toothpaste onto your toothbrush.  Grandma Dottie gave him new headphones and some money to go and get ice cream.  The Zundels gave him some cool Legos and he is decided what he wants to buy with his Amazon giftcard from the Pitts family.  After church we came home and had his birthday dinner of chicken wings and angel hair pasta.  Mostly chicken wings though.  Some of the family ate hot dogs and some of us ate bruschetta.  It was sort of a mishmash because of the Super Bowl and all.  Grandma Dottie and Grandpa Don came over for cake and ice cream.
Here are 9 things about Cayden Kelly Adams.
1.  We call him Squish, Goose, and Bucket.
2.  He loves hamburgers, Eggos and McDonald's pancakes.
3.  He does not like cheese and is the only kid I know who does not like pizza.
4.  He says the funniest things.
5.  He will apologize even if it has been a few hours since he did whatever it was that he needed to apologize for.
6.  He loves Legos, Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse Club House.
7.  He loves loves loves Disneyland.
8.  He is always making noise-usually singing something or another.  He is probably one of the very few 9 year olds on the planet who knows almost all the songs from Little Shop of Horrors and Phantom and even a few from Sweeeny Todd.
9.  He is a homebody.  He would much rather stay home than go anywhere.
We love you lots and lots Cayden Kelly and you always make me smile.
