On Saturday April 28, our stake held a big event to commemorate 100 years since our stake was organized. I took the boys because Don was still recovering from surgery. There was a dinner of pulled pork sandwiches provided by the stake and then different salads provided by the wards. I made a potato salad. Then there were various activities going on throughout the evening. The primary's from each ward had different games for the kids to play like sack races, jacks and a tug of war. The youth from each ward were asked to prepare a dance from different decades. Our ward did 3 dances, one for each group. The one that Caleb participated in was with the Deacons and Beehives. They did the Ultimate Cheer from Saturday Night Live in the 90's. The stake was actually organized in June but the celebration was held in April since it was going to be so hot in June. Connor helped with the food some by helping Ric who made the meat. Kyle had a fun time exploring the grass.
