The Fair this year was April 12-15. Don was super busy as usual and had lots of help from the boys. I took this year off and did N.O.T.H.I.N.G. I got up there when I was hungry in the early afternoon after getting Kyle to take a little morning nap. The boys were quite upset with Don in the mornings when he left them sleeping so he could get up there early so I did run them up around 9 or 10 but I just dropped them off. Don had to get things distributed and started up and then feed groups of school kids. He stayed pretty busy. Cayden was content to be on the cart with whoever had it at the time. He also rode around with Aunt Dawna and Grandma and picked up trash. Connor worked every day for 8-10 hours picking up trash and emptying garbages. Caleb spent most of his time in the ice cream booth working with his cousins who were running it. Kyle and I would go up there and ride around in the cart or wander around with his stroller. Grandpa bought him his first cowboy hat and he got lots of attention from lots of people just because he was so cute. Thursday was a beautiful day, Friday it started to get cold and windy, Saturday was a rainy mess and Sunday was beautiful. I did go to the Restless Heart concert on Thursday night with my friend Michelle. Don had to get dinner to the band and do a few things so Kyle rode around with Grandma and Grandpa and was almost going to go to the rodeo with Aunt Dena but he fell asleep. I took Cayden and our neighbor Molly to the carnival on Saturday before the weather got too bad. He loved riding the ferris wheel, the swings and the carousel. He was more adventurous than I thought he would be but he still won't try everything. Our neighbor Molly has no fear though and wanted to and went on everything she could. Kyle got his first introduction to our family's favorite clown PJ. She takes it upon herself to make sure that the kids all like her and has gone out of her way for years to help them not be scared. Don had to leave first thing Monday morning for North Carolina so he had to get stuff wrapped up. He hires a few kids from our ward to work for him up-the fair pays them-so they really helped get things taken care of and finished so he could go out of town.
