Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Week in Review November 14-20

Monday-Mom and Larry left.  Don and I took Kyle to Doctor Zilberman for his 2 month check up.  He got 4 shots and was not happy.  I don't think that he had ever cried that much or that loudly EVER-except maybe his circ but I was not in there.  I gave him Tylenol while we were waiting and that seemed to help.  He had his first dinner date with mom and dad because after the doctor we went to PF Changs.  He was really good but he had a really sad night after that when we got home.  We did not do any shopping after we ate because we were just tired and it is so hard to do anything in town with a new baby.  Kyle fussed and cried alot the rest of the night but seemed to settle after he had his Tylenol.  Cody went to the high school to "critique" the play that was being presented that week.

Tuesday morning I bottled 9 quarts of chicken that we had bought on Saturday on sale at Lin's. That afternoon we did family pictures outside in our neighbor's yard.  My friend Serena came from Mesquite to take them for us.  Connor was a little wound up while we were getting ready to do them and even at the beginning of the pictures he had a few choice words to say. Tuesday night I helped Cody start to get his mission papers filled out.  Very strange holding my 2 month old while assisting my soon to be 19 year old get ready for his mission. Cody took Cayden to the high school play.

Wednesday morning Don took Cody to the airport with a quick stop at Capriotti's.  Don also got his car worked on sort of at Pep Boys and then went to dinner with some guys that had come into town.  Caleb went to mutual and I videoed Cayden's book report that he did not want to get up and do in front of the class.  Connor went to work in Mesquite with grandma and grandpa and helped them do some their work in Overton.

Thursday-I took the video report up to the school to show Cayden's class.  Don, Connor and Grandpa cleaned some carpets in a house in our neighborhood.  Caleb helped at the Book Fair and student showcase night-an event where he just wanted to be dropped off at and not have his mother attend with him.  I caught Kyle smiling at himself in the mirror above his swing and tried repeatedly to get it on film to no avail.

Friday-Cayden went to Grandma's after school to help her get some of her Christmas stuff up.

Saturday-Don and I felt stomach fluey most of the the weekend and did not do much.  I wanted to get the Christmas lights up on the house but we just did not feel like it.  We did not make it to church on Sunday because we were still feeling yucky.  Kyle may have had a stomacheache as well because he was pretty grumpy and fussy most of Saturday night and Sunday.
