Deep Thoughts

"Great things are brought about and burdens lightened through the efforts of many hands “anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Imagine what the millions of Latter-day Saints could accomplish in the world if we functioned like a beehive in our focused, concentrated commitment to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ." M. Russell Ballard October 2012 General Conference

Thanksgiving 2011

We went to Provo again for Thanksgiving this year. We let the kids stay home from school on Wednesday so we could hurry and get out of town. I packed most of Tuesday and we were on the road by 12. We stopped in St. George at Costco since it would be closed on Thursday and we needed some asparagus and bacon for our appetizer for Thanksgiving day. We also stopped to get gas and go to Sonic. Kyle did pretty good on the way up. We stopped in Nephi to feed him because he just could not make it all the way. We stayed at Uncle Chris' house again and got there around 6:30 or so. Thursday morning Don had to run to Walmart because he forgot his delicates and of course the Distribution Center was not open. I also had broken one of my round brushes so he bought that for me and a few other things. We headed over to Grandma Penny's around 12 for dinner at 2pm. The kids played outside for most of the day because it was pretty warm.  None of them even wore jackets.  We had a huge spread as usual and we stuffed ourselves silly. After dinner we cleaned up and then played a few hands of Phase 10 while the anti-social ones watched lots and lots of football.  We missed Chris and Anne who were at her parent's this year but we caught up with them later that night.  We have had quite a crazy year but recognize our blessings and know that Heavenly Father watches out for us.

I thought I took pictures of the food but I guess I didn't.  Happy First Thanksgiving Kyle baby!!!
